The Doctor dancing

The Doctor dancing, ink and watercolor on cardstock, about 6.5"x7.5"

I wanted to draw something with a little more movement in it! This was fun.

Gerra sketch

I haven't posted anything in what feels like forever! So here is a sketch of one of the two witch characters I'm working on right now. I'm calling this one Gerra. This is in marker, color pencil, and ballpoint.

I wrote "it is water though it's frozen" because I have been listening to a song by Joanna Newsom called On a Good Day, and those are lyrics from it.

"Larval" patch experiments

Experimenting with printing on some scraps of cloth. It's looking pretty good! I'm planning on eventually making some patches.

Me and a piece of the Object

A little watercolored doodle of myself. I'll get a hang of this yet! Meanwhile the practice is fun.

In order not to stretch out my page, I had to make this appear pretty small, so please full-view this drawing!

14"x17", pencil on bristol

Much too big for my scanner and apparently nearly impossible to get a decent photo of! Oh well. I have been working on this for ages and I am very ready to post it. Here's detail of the face.

5"x4" linocut prints

Inspired by a photograph of a banner at the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day pride parade on June 25, 1978. The photograph can be seen here. You can see other photos like it at the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives gallery.

Introducing Myself

Hello!

I am Bis.

I make all sorts of things, mostly drawings. I like strange bodies and big mouths with lots of teeth, and I love anything scary. Horror is the best!

I hope that you stick around and see something you like. It is nice to meet you!
